Intakes in Singapore

Student Pass Visa Application
Documents Required for a student visa:
- Photographs
- Four passport-size photographs on a white background.
- Forms
- ICA-IMM16 Form: Ensure the applicant’s signature matches the passport.
- ICA-V36 Form: Declare all educational and working history, filling all gaps, and submit all supporting documents.
- Passport
- Must have a validity of more than six months.
- Birth Certificate
- Both parents’ names and the applicant’s name must exactly match those in the passport.
- Translation
- All supporting documents in foreign languages must be officially translated into English.
- Affidavit of Name
- Required if the name on the birth certificate differs from the passport.
- Marriage/Divorce Document
- Provide if the applicant is married or divorced.
- Bank Statements
- Valid statements from the applicant or parents.
- Funds should be at least one day old and documents should not be older than three months.
- Submission Timeline
- Submit all documents at least four weeks before the course commencement date.
Singapore Application Process
Application Submission
The university/college will submit the student pass application electronically to the ICA (Immigration & Checkpoints Authority).
Signing of Documents
The associate ensures the student signs every page of the Student Contract and Advisory Note.
Signed copies are scanned and sent back to the university.
Processing Time
The student pass application takes 3-4 weeks to process.
Approval Letter
Once approved, ICA issues an approval letter.
The student pays the first installment of tuition fees upon receiving the letter.
Issuance of IPA Letter
After payment, the university issues an IPA (In-Principle Approval) letter.
Universities generally allow a one-week extension for visa delays.
After Receiving the IPA Letter
Travel to Singapore
The IPA letter is valid for 10-15 days.
Students can book their tickets and travel to Singapore with the IPA.
Medical Check-Up
Conduct a medical check-up in Singapore or India.
Final Submission
Submit the medical check-up report along with all original documents to ICA.
The ICA will then issue the student pass.
